Stealth 2.0 Classic BC is packing 35 lbs / 16 kg of lift into a streamlined and tough double-shell wing that brought true innovation. Selecting materials that would stand up to the rigours of cave and wreck diving meant no compromises. Combining these demands into a sidemount system that was compact and infinitely adjustable and made our competitors systems irrelevant was a challenge XDEEP relished.
The APEKS Sidemount Regulator Kit contains all the necessary hardware and accessories, along with two of their award-winning XTX50 regulators, that will be convenient for the sidemount diver and save him money along the way. Everything a diver needs for a sidemount breathing system is found in this kit. Kit includes 2 ea. XTX50 DIN regulators with 5 port swivel turrets. One XTX50 has an 83" (210cm) hose and one XTX50 has a 24" (60cm) hose. 2 ea. custom length MP inflation hoses (one for buoyancy system, one for dry suit), 2 ea. brass pressure gauges with 6" (15.25cm) hoses (units in PSI), 1 ea. 90 Degree elbow fitting, 1 ea. bungee necklace, 1 ea. stainless steel clip, 2 sets of short exhaust ports, tie wraps, regulator bag to hold all, setup illustration, CD manual and quick start guide. The APEKS Sidemount Regulator Kit is the first CE approved sidemount kit specifically for this type of diving.
The XTX50 is for the discriminating diver who wants the benefits of a feature-rich regulator at a moderate price. This popular regulator has four medium-pressure ports all mounted on a rotating turret. This results in optimal hose routing while eliminating sharp bends in the hose. Optional 5th port is available for side mount or twin cylinder set ups. Unique over-balanced, diaphragm design - as the diver descends, the over-balancing feature allows the medium pressure gas in the hose to increase at a rate faster than ambient. This results in superior performance at depth. Two 7/16" UNF HP ports and four 3/8" UNF MP ports are angled for optimum hose routing. An environmental dry system keeps water out of the main spring chamber thus preventing ice build-up and keeping silt and contamination out.
Pneumatically balanced second stage results in smooth, easy breathing. The XTX purge buttons are large and easy to operate. A 2-stage progressive purge is used. Press the purge on the side for a lower flow rate, useful where more control is required such as filling lift bags etc., then press in the center for the full effect of the purge, i.e., when regulator clearing etc. The large venturi lever has a soft touch rubber grip, which makes it easier to locate and use. The lever reduces the amount of grit ingress and therefore resists any possible friction giving a smooth operation. Easy-to-grip opening effort control knob keeps the diver in control. The 2nd stage is manufactured with active protection against infection as all molded parts are produced with an additive that kills MRSA, protects against E-Coli, bacteria and fungi, and is also very effective against viruses, mold, yeast and algae. A silicone exhaust valve improves the breathing performance of the regulator. The Comfo-Bite mouthpiece virtually eliminates jaw-fatigue. A heat exchanger (patented) which surrounds the valve mechanism, dissipates the cold caused by gas expansion while drawing in the warmth of the ambient water.
Features an innovative Diver Changeable Exhaust system (DCE). This system gives the diver the ability to change from a small exhaust tee to a large exhaust tee. This gives the user a choice, wider exhaust tee for minimal bubble interference (essential for underwater photography) and narrow exhaust tee for a smaller compact comfortable regulator. The regulator will be supplied with both sets of exhaust tees. Can be converted from a right-handed hose configuration to a left-handed one. The process of changing the regulator to a left-handed configuration is both quick and simple. However, this procedure must only be performed by an APEKS Authorized Service Technician. Braided flexi-hoses are now standard on all models. These hoses are lighter weight, more flexible and more durable. Suitable for cold water use. Compatible with EAN40 out of the box. Regulator comes with an owner' manual.
APEKS instruments supply clear and accurate information on your dive status. APEKS instruments are tested beyond normal dive limits to ensure they provide this precise information for all your dive experiences. Strong, easy to maintain housings provide years of trouble-free service. You can be assured of the quality/finish of all your APEKS equipment. APEKS gauges and gauge consoles are designed and finished at APEKS UK factory ensuring that every aspect reflects their commitment to quality. The gauges are stylish and fit perfectly with other products in the APEKS range, such as their world-famous regulators.
The APEKS submersible pressure (contents) gauge, with an internal Bourdon pressure measuring mechanism, gives you clear information on the gas contents of your cylinder. The gauge indicates the cylinder bottle pressure and the dial range is from zero to 5000 psi. The dial face is designed with clarity in mind by being uncluttered, with large white figures on a black background. The gauge case is made from nickel plated brass and the dial window is made of highly shock resistant material (anti-splinter polycarbonate). There is an over-pressure capsule fitted in the back of the module to prevent the screen from exploding in the unlikely event of the internal mechanism failing. Gauges come complete with a 7/16" threaded high-pressure (HP) hoses.
